Chesstempo Progress

I just reached 1470+ in chesstempo earlier but then I got wrong after wrong answer until I am in the 1430+.

How to get over the frustration? I only want to improve with 1-10 points a day but because of this I'm discouraged.

:( Please help. Should I spend more time on doing the solves?

I usually solve the problems in 15 seconds to 5 minutes. Should I just keep looking until I got the correct sequence? The absolute correct sequence?

How to get over?

Thanks!
Remember, the value of chess ratings truly shows in averages over time. Your instantaneous (temporary/right now) rating can fluctuate a lot; 40 points can easily come and go. For example, if a 1470 rated player fought against a 1430 rated player, the ratings are close enough that we could say they have roughly even chances of winning.

I'd recommend resetting your goal periods to be longer (like multiple weeks or months), because per day goals are way too reliant on fluctuations caused by streaks of really easy or really hard puzzles. The longer they are, the more accurate they are, but the longer they are, the less you get to measure your progress over time. It's a trade-off.
Thank you for that! :D Have a nice day/night/noon/afternoon!

Yes, if you're using Standard mode you shouldn't make the first move until you've calculated fully and double-checked your calculations.
Something that I have found helpful when training for tactics is to select specific tactics and drill them.

For instance if you do 20 tactics, then you can pick the 10 most interesting ones and then solve them over and over until you are bored. I dont do it every single time, but it has helped overall understand important patterns.
The thing is I don't how to find the puzzles that I've already seen. Where can I see them?
I don't think there's a way for you to see the puzzles you've done, but if in the future you ever see a puzzle you like, you can copy the url and save it locally.
Ahhhh.. That's a great idea! I'll try it tomorrow when I do my CT Tactics Training Session.

Have a great day! :D
@Atrophied
Do you think this is better than using a time limit? I find I can solve most puzzles if I spend long enough, but in a real game I just don't have the time to analyse each position like that

EDIT: on a side note, the pop-up list when using '@' does not work for titled players
