People need to be quicker to report cheaters

Hi,

There have been a number of times where I have come across cheaters where they are not being reported by other players

Case in point this guy - en.lichess.org/@/Dommod

If you think someone is cheating report them and analyse there games to speed things up.

I reported him 5 minutes ago and he is already banned!
Well doesnt that all rest on the speed of the moderators though? Even if the reports are sent, its the moderators discretion whether or not he's banned/flagged.
I am online quite a lot! I spotted a guy cheating in bullet when he had less than 10 games played. I reported him, but he got banned at 39 (a couple tournaments later)!

What can I do to be able to ban these players? If I become a mod, I will only ban the obvious cheaters, not just someone I suspect.
I am not sure how the cheat detection works but I imagine allot of it might be automated.

The more games of the suspected cheater that are analysed makes life allot easier. I can only speak from my own experience and I have noticed that lichess are extremely quick to catch/ban people once they have been reported.
Does it depend on the number of people reporting or the evidence provided?! Would be nice to know the specifics from a moderator, so in future the system can run more efficiently
They definitely said it's not based on the number of people reporting. And, evidence helps quite a bit. There's a message when you report that tells you to put game links, and how you came to the conclusion they are cheating etc.
I have reported before but with the games link but maybe overlooked because the person use engine in casual games almost all times even though he bypassed the cheat detection system. Maybe one of the reason he is still not labeled as cheater.

You can look his games here

#5 Multiple reports it's not a problem, but rarely helps to spam either. So feel free to make a report, but no need to tell others to report the same one. If you are unsure, just make a note of it in the report and mods can dismiss it faster if they can't see anything.

In rare cases where it's hard to judge, then having more links to suspected games is nice (but mods have quite sophisticated tools anyway).

We have about 10-20 active mods and most reports are handled manually. Lichess has the power to automark when overconfident though.
