What is the proper etiquette?
I used to always accept because, what's the fun in playing a handicapped game? But then I realised it limited my opportunity to play against better rated opponents. So now I'm not accepting takebacks anymore, even if they are obviously dumb mistakes.
In real life you are not allowed to takeback so you are supposed to keep the piece firmly within your fingers for as long as it takes you to be sure that the move is the correct one.
