Any not so well known classical music composers you would recommend ?

Music of Giovanni Sgambati I find fascinating, though sometimes a bit to heavy to listen to for very long during a day. He composed music in a time that opera was the main thing in Italy. What Sgambati did in that time was unheard of.

Alexander Scriabin and Domenico Scarlatti are not so very well known, and are among my favorites.

For pianists it's quite the main repertoire, but I can see how they might be obscure for most other people.

I know a gazillion and a half of great composers, are you interested in any specific time period...? Maybe an unknown barocque genius, or something more contemporary? Tell me what you want, because I don't know where to start.
