Another thread about random insults.

I can't help but notice people saying they get insulted when after they win, but the only time I care about getting insulted in when my opponent wins. The other day I had someone tell me to "suck it" after they won. I was so angry I stopped playing for nearly 2 weeks. Then when I come back I once again lose to someone who said they were going to "beat me like a little girl." Makes me want to quit playing chess entirely.
This happens to me quite often since I mostly play against anonymous users.
I in fact made a topic about their insults (which you may be referencing in the title of this post) and it was closed after some unthoughtful replies. Most of them seemed to misunderstand the purpose of the thread. It was not to complain about the insults; it was to JOKE about them. Yes, joke.
You may be wondering, "how could you consider being insulted funny?"
That question has a simple answer: your opponent is likely a troll, and if he/she is actually serious then they have very questionable intelligence.
For the former, I think of how pleased they must be, thinking they disturbed me in some way, when in reality I'm not bothered in the slightest. For the latter: what can I say? I just find stupidity funny :)
And that's my advice: simply laugh at their stupidity.
Hope this helps with your problem, and always remember to report registered users when they insult you.
I think PigsRule nailed it. Once we realize that their insults are shallow and hold no water, they seem quite silly. It's funny how there are those who are willing to jump in the mud and resort to insults to give themselves some semblance of control.
It's hard to laugh at someone's stupidity when you just lost against them. If anything, the more stupid they act, the more insulting it is for you (because you lost against them).
@ #4 Not really for me; losing's not a big deal for me. At the end of the day, we're all just playing chess over the internet.
If it's unrated, just live with it. Personally, I don't play unrated. If they are rated players and get rude, then copy the game url and report them..
I like PigsRule response, too.

CHANGE IN SELF: It involves a little self reflection, change of thought, and really stepping away from the whole situation so you can reframe the moment in a better light.

Winning or losing is part of chess, and is as much as it a part of your own life. You win some, you lose some.

OPPORTUNITY FOR CHANGE: Take it as it may be - an opportunity. Either separate yourself from the game/player insults, or let it be and accept they're going through some phase in their life.

For example, when I realize someone is questioning me with malicious intent and harassing me with questions for weakness, I turn it into an opportunity to share my own thoughts and purpose with the world.

Sometimes, it gets to the point where you've done all you can. The only thing left is to ignore the other person's intentions.
I think that players that made rude comments are just jealous of you or want to bully you. But I think they usually don't mean it and just are mad. Also if they won and are saying rude things then that means they are bullies if they repeat. Don't pay attention to them or comment back. Remember the more afraid or angry they see directed at them from you, the more he or she is going to be full of them self therefore causing them to do this more to you and other people. I have never had this happen to me but this is what I would do if this ever happens to me.

As Trader said, it's nothing but online chess in the end, and insulting someone over it is ridiculous.
These people are beyond childish and have crossed into the realms of incomprehensible stupidity. We should just accept the fact that their words are utterly meaningless; since their own intelligence doesn't even allow them to understand their meaning for themselves.
