For it to work out past the initial enthusiasm, you should probably decide on Lichess' legal status. Is it an association? Or maybe a foundation? Or a company?
There must be an understandable logic, and the earnings and expenses should probably be transparent.
The benevolent dictator thing may become a trickier proposition as more funds and volunteer time is channeled into the project.
